Here is the second Idea in a week, doesn't happen very often..... in fact I have third and fourth lined up but will keep that for later.
To capitalize and rejuvenate the recent Olympic stint of Indian Boxers, here is my thought how this acknowledgement of presence of Indian talents in sports other than cricket can be utilized for monetary gains.
Though the title suggest a boxing club, my intentions are for no charity to the game or raise local talent for next Olympics. Idea is to commercialize Boxing in India, organize ring fights for smaller and richer section of the society. This is how its gonna work -
1. Try finding a boxing star, not necessarily the one who has one a medal but more who has professional boxing experience. An instructor or acknowledged fighter in low lying boxing circles.
2. Make this guy pilot your organization process - his job would be to find boxers (local or abroad talents), stadium or gyms , rules and regulations and a show that can run for an hour or two at the maximum.
3. There will be just one fight per night and access to see this fight would be limited, limited to an extent of page 3 crowds, bureaucrats and rich brats.
4. No betting, just plane fights where people will come in expensive cars and watch two boxers display their talent.
5. Tickets or admission control be circulated with safe channels.
6. If this works, then next step would be to make the Friday night crowd either watch the fight at home on television sets or walk into big stadiums.
As always, Idea is good and would need some venture capitalist to invest in it.
