Its been long since i wrote up with anything new......not that i stopped thinking, its just that i have been enjoying which has already been invented. I think that's a very important phase because until you don't try to understand the current available product you can't think of innovating it to the next level. And unlike Apple, i am not with the idea of producing something which will not reflect a common man's present day.
Television has integrated in current life style as the most basic need for every being on this planet earth and most annoying thing about this gadget is that it sometime challenges your own memory. For example, if i walk in home and i want to watch cricket, i take the remote and press channel 44 (Start sports in my TV configuration). Thats just not end of it, times children at home fiddle around by pressing auto configure on remote and then starts a painful saturday of configuring everything back to way it was from 1-44..... Catch here is, picture quality for many people is still isn't as important as watching their favorite sport (stands true atleast for Indians where a plasma screen cost 60k or more).
Solution to this problem goes something like this..... TV companies need to fit a voice censor in the remote, censor should be able to detect the channel requested from the human voice and map the words to the channels in the TV. This would first require voice recognition software to convert voice signal into text which needs to be mapped. Second, once the text has been generated, it needs to be mapped to closest channel with same spelling. For the second part, we would need to run through the internal memory directory of the TV which stores the channel and remembers the sequence....
What say ??? I think i should patent this idea before people steal it like they did with the rest :)
